Brief History of Yoga
As we all know, Yoga's been around for quite sometime now. However, there are a few times you may not know.
Yoga's foundation actually 3,000 years ago in India. The term "Yoga" actually comes from Sanskrit and it means "to join". It's a great form of relief and not a religion contrary to popular belief. It's popularity has grown quite large in the U.S. totaling to over 5 million practitioners. It's a very therapeutic exercises and one of the most popular forms is Hatha Yoga. it's perfect because it incorporates three key concepts:
The poses or postures (Asana)
Breathing techniques
Relaxation
It's a great art to use because it helps to detox the body of a lot of impurities, decreases stress, and helps with weight loss.
